With space to fit up to 100 people , the Foyt Wine Vault has become a local favorite for many companies and individuals hosting their private parties, board meetings, holiday events and even rehearsal dinners!

Nestled right on Main Street in historic Speedway, Indiana the Foyt Wine Vault is a few blocks from the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) and just 10 minutes from downtown Indianapolis. Make sure to stop in and check out our wine and A.J. Foyt memorbilia when passing through Speedway.

our story

Our story begins in a small town

In 1955, A.J. Foyt first saw the Indianapolis 500 race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway after years of listening to it on the radio. Speedway, Indiana, an Indianapolis suburb planned in 1912 as its founders envisioned the automobile replacing the horse, took its name from the track.

Foyt would visit Speedway many times as he forged his incredible career at the historic track, where he became the first driver to win the Indy 500 four times and still holds the record for consecutive starts at 35.

In 2015, Foyt and his family opened the Foyt Wine Vault on Main Street in Speedway. Paying tribute to A.J.’s strong history with the track and the sport, the Foyt Wine Vault draws in tourists, but also has become a staple for the locals.

It may be a race car number or a year in which A.J. set a record or reached another milestone - and we have plenty to choose from. We discuss our memories and experiences that come to mind while sampling our new wine, and what relevance it has to our family history. From there, the name is born and we share our story on the back label about the significance of the name and the history behind it.
